The Amarillo-Potter Events Venue District Board of Directors on Monday approved two vendors for the demolition and abatement of the former Potter County Memorial Stadium. The board awarded a total of $198,507 to Lloyd Nabors Demolition LLC and Arlo Environmental to tear down the almost 74-year-old stadium on the grounds adjacent to the Tri-State Fairgrounds. Lloyd Nabors Demolition LLC out of Hutchins, Texas near Dallas was awarded a $175,000 demolition contract over one other bidder by scoring way higher for a lower cost for the demolition of the stadium.
